What is a Branded Stablecoin?

Branded Stablecoins are white-label tokenized assets issued by Paxos Labs designed to empower enterprises with full control over the economics and ownership of their own branded stablecoin issuance. The underlying architecture for branded stablecoins is facilitated through a blockchain-based "vault" architecture.

What is a Vault?

Branded Stablecoins are powered by smart contract infrastructure called "Vaults". Vaults are tokenized assets that can be configured to accept and be backed by various assets, accompanied by a persistent proof of reserve and a secure system of smart contract-based asset management. This documentation is meant to act as a guide for interacting with the vaults behind Branded Stablecoins.

Supported Networks

Branded Stablecoins can be deployed on any chain that supports either LayerZero or Hyperlane's cross-chain messaging protocols.

As of today, the Paxos Labs vault architecture has been deployed on many different chains, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Hyperliquid, Plume, Zerion, and many others.

Deployments

Currently, Branded Stablecoins are deployed by the Paxos Labs team. This documentation assumes there has been a deployment completed by the team.
